Put documents on your Mac in iCloud for GoodReader
Fri, Dec 16 2011, 16:41 PermalinkIf you want to store documents from your Mac in iCloud for, say GoodReader, there is an easy way to do this!
First step to take is to store a document in iCloud from within GoodReader.
Next step is to setup your Mac to use iCloud. You might need Mac OS X Lion for this to work.
The last step is to open the Library folder inside your Home folder. By default, this folder is hidden in Mac OS X Lion, but you can open it or make it permanently visible by using one of these methods.
Inside ~/Library you'll find a folder named Mobile Documents.
If all has been setup well, GoodReader's iCloud folder should be visible there. Inside that folder is a Documents folder. Simply drag a document into that folder and it is auto-synced into iCloud. You are then able to see the document in GoodReader's iCloud folder and download it from there onto your iOS device.
I have made an alias in my Finder window's sidebar to the Mobile Documents folder, so I have quick access to it.

French - English - Dutch Phrases
Mon, Nov 07 2011, 15:33 PermalinkI have put a huge list with phrases in three languages (French, English and Dutch) online. These short phrases are very handy in learning the other language. I found this list someday on the internet (do not remember where) and added Dutch to it. Mind you, the Dutch translation is done by a computer and is far from correct. But I am working on it, when I find the time.
Ik heb een enorme lijst met zinsneden in drie talen online gezet (Frans, Engels, Nederlands). Deze korte zinnen zijn erg handig bij het leren van de andere taal. Ik heb de lijst met Franse en Engelse zinnen eens op het internet gevonden en de Nederlandse vertaling er aan toegevoegd. Let wel, de Nederlands vertaling is door een computer gedaan en verre van correct. Maar ik werk er aan, als ik de tijd vind.
J'ai mis une liste énorme avec phrases en trois langues (français, anglais et néerlandais) en ligne. Les courtes phrases sont très pratique dans l'apprentissage de l'autre langue. J'ai trouvé cette liste un jour sur l'internet (ne me rappelle pas où) et ajouté néerlandais à elle. Mais attention, la traduction néerlandaise est fait par un ordinateur et est loin de corriger. Mais je suis à y travailler, lorsque j'ai trouver le temps.
